School officials would not say if students from Bentonville were under investigation for sharing the photos. Earlier this week, the FBI office in Little Rock said they were investigating a report that students at schools in Washington, Benton and Madison counties were involved in the situation. An FBI spokesman said Thursday that the case was disturbing. He also said juveniles can be prosecuted for possessing and sharing explicit photos and made the point.
